What a jewel in the Sierra Nevada. The vistas are wonderful and sets one back in time with working ranches, cattle, horses, and fields of grasses. Sierra County receives less snow than the Tahoe-Truckee area. The elevation is lower. Sierraville is a one stop sign town and not too bustling. Loyalton is a few miles east of Sierraville and has a few more amenities but not much. Lazy days if you are not on a working farm or ranch. Trails lead to Boca and Stampede Reservoir for some good fishing and horseback riding.
Properties range from ranches to smaller farms, to homes sitting on acreage, to in-town properties. There is lots of room in Sierra County.
